对于旅游保险 你了解多少？

除了人寿保险、储蓄保险、医药保险……还有一个保险，平日没必要，在特定时期才需要的，那就是旅游保险，只是大家对它的了解有多深呢？

马航MH370事件沸腾至今，任何一个“发现”都足以牵动全球人的神经，保险索赔更是其中一项极其重要的后续发展。

目前，有鉴于马航事件为特殊情况，大马寿险公会已发出指示，会优先处理时间理赔工作，在获得死亡证明书之前，家属可以提前申请索取赔偿，一旦确定索赔者身分，就会在一星期内安排赔偿（仅限我国公民）。

儘管“事故”仍未盖棺论定，但根据各国主要媒体报导，在关注寻找失踪飞机之际，保险公司、航空公司、乘客、律师之间的索赔法律战，早已酝酿就绪等待上演。当然，无论“真相”或最终索赔结果，都需要时间才能有答桉。

人生总会遭遇大大小小不可预知的风险，灾难事故等大事轮不到我们来掌控，但如何从这些惨痛经验中取得启发与反思，将出游的意外风险转嫁，是我们应该从中学习的重要小事。旅游保险，正是其一。

但是，关于旅游保险，你真的懂吗？还是从来没买过？MMI AC 指出，马来西亚人对于这个旅游保险的认知程度的确有待加强：“其实，不要说一般人，连我身边的朋友都很少会购买这类型保险，主要原因是他们认为已经购买了个人寿险和意外险，所以根本不需要再购买旅游保险，这是个很普遍的迷思。

相似于意外险，但利益更多

虽然旅游保险的保障范围跟意外险有些相似，但有些利益是意外险或其他保险所无法提供的，例如：人寿保险只赔偿死亡和终身残废，医药卡在国外超过90天就不能使用。我举个例子，假设一个人突然在国外罹患严重疾病（当地没有医院可以提供相关服务）或死亡，必须返回马来西亚，当中所涉及的遣送费用，并不包括在人寿保险和医药卡的保障范围，但旅游保险就可以提供相关的保障。意外事故、空难、第三方索赔、遣送费用等都是旅游保险的保障范围。”

保个万一但不是随便购买

旅游人人爱，但旅游保险却往往“乏人问津”，人们很少会主动选择购买旅游保险，甚至在购买廉航机票时也会删除保险选项（除非参加规定购买保险的旅行团），除了欠缺风险意识，对旅游保险认识不足及存有迷思也是原因。

有必要购买旅游保险吗？“绝对必要！我与家人几乎每次出国，都会买旅游保险。

人在国外，很多时候都是人生地不熟，免不了会面对语言、文化的差异。万一在国外因为一场意外或病倒，从办理入院和医疗费用都有可能成为一个难题，旅游保险就能发挥作用。很多人会想到要省下小钱，却忽略了万一不幸发生事故，可能会面对更大的麻烦和压力。”

至于旅游保险要买多少才足够？他说其实很难一概而论，必须根据个人能力和财务需求来决定：“我建议还是看个人能力和需求。另外，旅游保险不见得是买得越多，赔偿越多，原因在于有些公司会列明，若在同一间公司购买超过一份旅游保险，只会以一份旅游保险来做出赔偿。”

买多或买少没有绝对答桉，但唯一肯定的是，遨游四海之前，除了事前妥善规划行程，也应该考虑购买旅游保险，做好有备无患的安全保障。

了解类型，保障权益

目前，我国常见的旅游保险主要包括以下几种：

信用卡公司赠送

使用信用卡购买飞机票时，信用卡公司/发卡银行本身赠送。“由于这是免费的，所以一般涵盖的保障范围可能比较少，通常会注重在旅游期间意外死亡/终身残废（包括空难事件），而且多半不包括国外的医药保险，但也有例外情况，必须视不同信用卡公司的条规而定。”

个人购买

购买飞机票时/后，可以上网或者向保险代理员购买个人旅游保险。这类保险涵盖的范围比较广，主要包括：意外死亡、终身残废、医药保险、第三方损失等等。另外，也可再细分为单程或者双程旅游保险（例如：到国外读书，通常只需购买单程旅游保险，然后再购买当地的医疗保险。）

公司购买

“如果是公司为员工购买的旅游保险，必须确定保单拥有者是公司还是员工。同时必须确定填写提名人（受益人）的资料。

万一保单拥有者是公司，那么保险赔偿金将会归公司。并不是归员工的家属。另外，虽然公司有责任／义务为出差员工购买旅游保险，但我国法律并没有强制规定一定要购买。”他提醒因公出差的员工，最好向公司清楚询问这些相关事项，例如：是否有购买旅游保险、谁才是受益人等。

家庭配套旅游保险

另外，旅游保险也可分为个人或者家庭配套旅游保险，家庭配套比较便宜，但相对保额方面也有固定的限制。

年限旅游保险

旅游保险多数是以个别旅游次数来做计算。对于一年内频密出国的人，可以考虑购买年限旅游保险，保费会比较便宜。

MMI AC 表示，大部分国家的旅游保障内容都一样，只是保费会根据旅游地点而有所差异。我国旅游保险通常会以旅游地点划分为本地、亚洲地区、世界性区域（例如：美国／加拿大）。本地与亚洲会比较便宜，主要的考量因素包括地理环境、气候/天灾、政治因素、恐怖袭击、战争以及其他可能性等。

弄清细节免得届时没得赔！

买保险最气的是，就是你需要的，它统统不赔，如何才能最大程度保障自己的权益？

“购买旅游保险时，必须诚实透露你的工作性质，健康状况以及出国理由等，原因是这些都会影响保险公司对你风险评估。

”AC提醒民众在购买旅游保险前，务必要清楚搞懂以下几件事：

˙确定清楚填写受益人资料，同时让他们知道你有购买旅游保险。

˙向保险公司索取紧急电话，以防万一在国外面对一些困境，可以第一时间联络保险公司。

˙购买旅游保险最好提前购买，不要等到旅行当天才买，有些保险公司会拒绝当天投保的情况。另一个好处是可以提前确认保单合同内容，以及核对个人和受益人资料等等。

万一在国外被打抢，掠夺或由于其他因素蒙受损失，都必须在当地时间24小时内报警。因为这些将会在后期申请理赔列入考量因素。

了解自己所购买的旅游保险。确认该旅游保险的保障范围，以及不给予保障的事项。例如：医疗费用的理赔是根据本地费用为准，而不是外汇转换率，行李箱延迟的赔偿仅限于旅游目的地等等。

根据旅游保险配套、目的地、保障天数，评估需要支付多少保费才是合理的

确认每项利益是否存在需个人自行承担的费用。

处理保险索赔问题的单位

旅游保险索赔出问题？首先，可以向各自的保险公司投诉，由公司进行处理。如果不满意保险公司的处理方式或得不到合理的答覆，再进一步向下列有关部门投诉，主动争取自己的权益。

在疾病年轻化，医疗费越见高昂的现代社会，没有一张医药保险（俗称医药卡）傍身的人少之又少。

投保前问清楚讲明白

（一）保障范围投保前应了解什么事项和疾病受保什么不受保，例如滥用毒品、爱滋病、战争都不受保，以乳癌为例，若属原位癌（零期未扩散），传统医药卡不理赔，但新款医药卡和疾病险却纳入受保范围，以保诚为例，尽管原位乳癌不属36种严重疾病险的受保范围，但女性保单则理赔。

保险公司只为突发疾病提供保障，一些非必要支出如astro费、报纸、医院迎宾小礼物、女佣在医院里的床位，以“检查为目的”的健康检查（例如头痛进院检查时，叫医生“顺便”从头到脚检查一遍），保险公司不负责买单。尽管了解这些细节并非易事，但鼓励保客事前问清楚，就诊前也应向医生确认，以后日后引发争执和投诉。

（二）有关医药卡是否医药费分摊这是指保客必须和保险公司分担一小部分的住院与医药费用：大多数医药卡都明订Co-Insurance条例，即保客负责分担10%的住院费用，或最少需分担300令吉，最高1000令吉的医药费，余下的住院与医药费才由保险公司承担。

（三）等待期限的长短等待期限依保单和保客情况从30天至120天不等。除了突发意外事件不受约束，一般疾病通常须过了等待期限，才能向保险公司索赔，此举是为了避免消费人在已患病或健康亮红灯情况下，先行投保才就医。此外，投保前已有病例条例则阐明，不为原已存在的病况提供保障。

对医卡错误观念

（一）公司为我投保，省下一笔。

大部分企业都会为雇员投保，有些雇员就想：“既然公司为我投保，能省则省，我不用买。”其实，不论公司是否提供这项福利，消费人都应自掏腰包买一张医药卡。

即使已结婚都有可能离婚，更何况是离职或者辞职？当雇员因故无法为公司效力或离职，便失去医药保障。

因为保险保的是某某公司雇员，当你已经不是某某公司雇员，谁来帮你出医药费？这时才想要买医药卡？对不起，你已患病在身（尤其患上癌症），成为保险公司的拒绝往来户，侥幸受保也必须缴付额外费用。

再者，公司可能因故暂时停止缴费（没有告知员工），员工却在这期间发生事故，后果可想而知。

（二）指定医院和付费

许多保客以为只有到指定医院就诊，保险公司才会给付，事实却非如此。不管是指定或非指定医院，保险公司都会负责，差别在于（1）到指定医院可免付费就诊，（2）到非指定医院，保客须代垫医药费，再向保险公司索费。

（三）钱丢进大海

保客总有“买医药卡没有做索偿，等同于把钱丢进大海”的心态。难道买汽车保险是希望发生车祸？同样的道理，医药卡只是为了以防万一，有需要时不必动用自己的储蓄和血汗钱。

医药卡必知

（一）每年检视保单

人生不同阶段有不同目标和责任，消费人应善用保险代理员提供的免费咨询服务，每年检视保单并适时调整，像手机、电脑之类的设备，大家都会定期更新，保单也应该如此，很多保单是多年前购买的，现在的产品推陈出新，消费人可以检讨看看有没有需要追加。

（二）凑钱为父母投保

乐龄人士的医药卡保费不便宜，却又是患病的高风险群，这里建议为人子女者，可凑钱合力为父母购买。

你说你爱你的父母，万一父母发生事情，你能袖手旁观吗？万一发生事情，若孩子没能力承担，至少保险公司有能力，由保险公司来负责。

（三）各别购买医药卡

全家受保的医药保险尽管收费较低廉，却有限制。

例如家庭保险只为21岁以下子女提供保障。当子女年届21岁想要个别投保，或有可能因早前身体状况不佳而有被保险公司拒保的风险。

另外，由于可索赔限额由家庭成员共享，若家中有一人以上患病，可能会不敷使用。

如果够用的就没问题，不够用时怎么办？因此这里主张每个家庭成员拥有各自的医药卡。

（四）向专业保险代理员投保

市面上有中间人保险公司以会员制方式出售保险产品，其缺点是购买者并非直接对保险公司，或有可能遭遇缺乏保证续保或沦为孤儿保单（没有代理人服务）的风险。

其区别方式是填写保单申请时，注意公司抬头是保险公司或者是该中间人保险公司。他呼吁消费人直接向保险公司的代理员投保。

The “MMI” CLAIMS ADVISORY UNIT (MMI-CAU) was formed in the year 2010 order to assist “MMI” Insured/Client in their claims matters which scope encompasses the dispensing of advise on insurance and legal related matters, submission of documents to the Insurers and acting as an intermediary between the Insured and Insurer. The main task of CAU is to ensure that both the Insurer and Insured are given the best service by providing the best solution to matters pertaining to claims.
“MMI-CAU” is headed by “MMI” CEO Mr Anthony Chin and assisted by Ms. Anna Sim. “MMI-CAU” handles claims pertaining to several classes which are individually handled by specific, designated persons.
“MMI” Claim Unit team members lead by Ms Veronica Yap will handles claims with regards to the Individual and Group Hospitalisation & Surgical Insurance Schemes.

The primary task of “MMI-CAU” is to maintain efficiency and an optimum service standard in the process of claims handling. Procedures are to be strictly adhered to in order to ensure that deadlines are met particularly in relation to Insurers who are compelled to conform with ISO standards. It is the responsibility of “MMI-CAU” to ensure that the Insured parties are regularly updated on the claims status in order to keep them informed on the progress of their claims.

There is currently in place, a proper reporting system to the Insured parties, the Insurer as well as the Management team. This system has been designed with the purpose of creating a more pro-active working environment. With this system in place, it enables the Insured parties as well as the Insurers to be handled in a professional manner whilst simultaneously maintaining a cordial relationship with both parties.

“MMI-CAU” is geared towards providing the best claims services to both the Insured as well as the Insurer. The objective of “ACPG-CAU” is to ensure that both the Insurer as well as the Insured are satisfied with the decision pertaining to the claim. Hence, under the circumstances, regardless of whether or not claims are settled, it is always necessary to provide a proper explanation which is substantiated and justified with facts in order to avoid any uncertainty, disputes and challenges pertaining to the same.
